You have some very valid points about community (non)participation in your post.
I understand your point about having another rally. Make no mistake - IV core has no problems with planning and conducting another rally. So it's not a big issue to get them to agree. I can push IV core, and get another rally. Bigger issue is how many are going to turn up? If it's just 100-200 of us same-old folks, there is no point.
Last year when we were bouyed by the success of July VB reversal, it was estimated that at least 10,000 would turn up. But, only 2000 did. I don't know how many will, if we hold another few months from now?
IV can sponsor more ACTION (items). But what's point, if there is not enough participation? First step is the community needs to step up and make existing action items such as FOIA requests for backlog numbers, AC21 action items successful. This will motivate IV to launch more action items. No organization would want to be seen running too many campaigns with liitle or no community participation.
We need the IV core team and the administrator to guide some big rally's. Guys nothing will happen until we are bold about our intentions.
I noticed everyone comes up with their different ideas, but no one works to implement it. We need to stand together and do something big, when was the last time we had a big rally?

Hi I just talked to customer service representative, she said that It is either due to a security check or Department of Homeland security trying out different exercises before approving the case. So Please wait for some more time and give a check. when the applications went to security check, the similar kind of response you will get. If your case falls under a specific section we will put the section in that.

Lost in the big hoopla of 1 yr jump and hopes of similar advancement for others in May VB are the following facts.

They will accept those cases, get fees from those lucky souls and make the dates unavailable after 1-2 months. Remember last year they were moving dates by 6 months till they made it UNAVILABLE for August and September.

The discussion seems to be focused on getting a certification to add to your resume. I am a PMP too, have delivered several small projects.
I think whether you are a PM or a developer, PMP is a good step to understanding and appreciating the business value of what you are doing as a techie.
It is not just a certification but a way of thinking.
It applies to everything in your life not just your work......
Treating it like a commodity isn't the best way to look at it.
My 2 cents .....

If you join as a PM somewhere ...you need to be aware of things line earned value, risk register, critical path, management reserves, contract change control system, stages of team formation, types of Org..etc..etc..which is common terminology for PM's..so unless you want to join as a PM and blink you want to get certified..
Most manager jobs require this certification ...like you would go to a dentist to deal with problems with your teeth...not that a general physican cant do it..but a dentist specailises in teeth care..just like it PM is a separate proffession..I have seen MBA getting PMP ceritified..
For a Reason ..among all the certs ...this is the 1st or the 2nd most sought after..in the world..

The only thing seems to be happening is that they are transferring cases from NSC/TSC to CSC/VSC for EADs, APs and I-485s for data entry and EAD/AP approval.
CSC seems to be doing a great job at that (received EADs and APs in exactly 60 days). Once these are issues and the I-485 data is fed in, the I-485 jurisdiction is passed back to NSC/TSC (wherever your I-485 originated from).
I am still waiting on my I-140 approval (filed in March 2007)...hoping to get it by around end of year.

...It goes without saying that as much as the United States has a duty to protect its citizens it also has a duty to be equally diplomatic toward foreigners and not continue persecuting the one or the other long after any condemning sentence has been exacted and executed.

The government is telling my family I am not an adequate person to form a family with in the U.S. because I was deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana, yet it is granting the 212(d)(3) Waiver for Non-Immigrant Visas to Aliens deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of marijuana and who wish to travel to the U.S.. United States Citizens need an Immigrant Visas Waiver available to their Alien Immediate Relatives deported with a drug-related offence of more than 30 grams of Marijuana in order to even the scales on both U.S. citizen and Alien immigration privileges concerning Deported Aliens with a Drug-Related Offence of More than 30 Grams of Marijuana.
The way things are now U.S. citizens without a criminal conviction and with Alien Immediate Relatives are being discriminated against by their own government. The needs of deported Aliens with criminal convictions are being placed before their own.
It�s pure hypocrisy and it�s my family�s and my name being placed on the line.
I mean, really, how great can the U.S. be if it�s willing to lose their citizens to aliens like me when they decide to move outside of the United States to join their Immediate and shunned Alien Relatives? The U.S. government�s violation of my family�s civil human rights to liberty, freedom of expression and equality before the law is unwarranted. My U.S. family�s civil liberties to equal protection under the law, to due process and privacy are being discriminated against, they are not receiving fair treatment.

Can you explain why EB2 ROW is flowing to EB3 and not to EB2 India?

I filed my I-485 (Nov 2004 EB3), but my old labor ( EB3 Mar 2003) got cleared. I am going to apply another labor in EB2 and move this EB3 priority date to that EB2, that way my case will be current.
Not very much sure about its possibility, any suggestions.
But coming back to the point, you are in a better boat by not filing, you can atleasr make it as EB2 and get the Green card Faster.
