Nice story :) I had a clause in my first contract that I had to work for a company at least for 6 months or I will have to reimburse all H1B-related expenses. Well, I left the company and when the company's president called me, just told him to get lost. Never heard from him again. Looking back, I should've sued the company because it did not pay me full salary for the first month while I was on the "bench" (searching for a contract). Well, I am just too lazy :)

NSC probably sent applications to CSC for data entry, I am a july 2 filer, my EAD(I131)/AP(I765) and all receipt notices were sent to me by CSC all are WAC### numbers which means its from CSC, then they sent just the AOS (I485) back to NSC saying they do not have Jurisdiction on the AOS application (Logic behind this is - because my I140 was approved by NSC, I have a LIN### on I140 application).
This transfers happens in the 4 centers all the time no need to worry, there is delay associated though... :(

I filed my 485 in June 2007 in Nebraska and yesterday my LUD changed but there was no message. This is the first change in my LUD since my finger printing in July 2007. I am EB3-I with PD of Dec 2002. Not sure what got updated. Any ideas???

Is it just out of curiosity you inquired about your pending 485?
Do you have a good relationship with your former employer? If so, you can ask them and verify if they withdrew your I-140...in any case that should not matter as long as you have passed the 6 months period after applying I-485.

Why are we rambling on and on about this? There is absolutely no connection between India buying fighter jets and immigration. That was what the OP wanted to know. If the immigration processes will get affected because India excluded Boeing and Lockheed. There seems to be no connection between the two issues. Period.

After this it will have another round of hearing on June 23rd . Which is Full Commitee. Which will makr up bill and if passes there it will send to clerk for scheduling to debate on house floor.

India rejected both Boeing and Lockheed Martin's proposal of fighters . I am not debating the reasons or the merits of this decision if this was right or wrong . I am just discussing the potential repercussions this has had so far and might have .
'Exclusion of US firms from IAF jet deal a setback for ties' (http://www.indianexpress.com/news/exclusion-of-us-firms-from-iaf-jet-deal-a-setback.../783401/)
1) The issue is so serious that Tim Roemer , US Ambassador to India submitted his resignation immediately since he was on the hook for making this deal work .This shows the measure of disappointment they had.
2) India was seeking US assurances in security a Permanent Security council seat , which looks far fetched now .
4) Pentagon , Whitehouse and the DoD very upset that deal fell through . This sentiment will certainly percolate to the USCIS and the State department and might embolden Anti Immigration senators whose measures will get more support in the house and senate.
5) Prosecution of companies entangled in cases like Infosys might find more support and favor with the Govt.
Question is how/if there will be a backlash against India / Indian's get back at us at least in the short term .Increased scrutiny and visa denials , PoE Harassment , GC audits etc.
Will the US take a Tit-for-Tat reaction on this issue is what remains to be seen.
You guys only see your greencard hidden in every news story. At least you did not write now people will get more soft LUD because this deal fell through.
The US India relationship will now get better.
For once some Indian politician thought sensibily about India's interest.

Regardless of the incorrect forum to tell about yourself, your story has serious flaws.
you are just telling us your side of a photoshopped story.
Even after you are here illegally, you can correct things and take a legal turn. there are so many cases where people who have overstayed or crossed over illegally, got themselves deported and or brought themselves out of the closet and applied and got their citizenships.
Also, bcos you spent 30 years in the country, you should be given a priority over a kid from your country who kept applying for a green card lottery every year, trying to enter the US legally?
to make matters worse, you stayed illegally in a country and did not follow the rule of law.
