There is a petition to capture lost visa. If lost visas are recaptured, there will be some relief.
At least that would definetely help. Apparently over the past 5 years they have lost 180,000 visas just becuase.

There is something seriously wrong here.....one gets red dots for even simply truthfully recording answers to some questions asked by administrator......or are the red dots simply to protest/ express displeasure with the fact that my GC process was not as difficult as some other people.......its like "misery likes company" - i am miserable bcos i dont have a GC and hence am pissed off at this guy who despite not being crazy about GC got his in 7 months.........so i will give him red dots..............
Guys - get over it.........look at the general tone of posts from all on this particular thread - GC did not make any "big" change to most folks.......
For the more rational beings - i genuinely hope that you get your gcs within reasonable wait times and the waiting time does not take away from the personal and professional successes you deserve!
I gave you a green, if that helps.. perhaps someone did not notice the EB category in your signature. In any case, I agree it was unfair.
I hope you will stay engaged with the IV community, and help the rest of us in achieving our goals. We need everyone, not just those waiting for a GC, in this effort.

Guys, please take attorney advise before rushing in to refile. Duplicate applications may create problems for you later on.
Imagine, given the huge retrogression how many countless times we will be refiling our EADs ad APs if we don't act now.
Many people are blissfully enjoying the fruits of labor of some very dedicated IV member who selflessly participated in San Jose rally and flower campaign. These efforts were instrumental in the July visa bulletin reversal. Isn't it time we all stood up for our rights and make a strategic impact through a legislative change rather then just be satisfied with a tactical July visa bulletin reversal win?
I can't talk enough about how vital it is for you to act now. Presidential race will kick in after October/ November time frame. Our window of opportunity is short. Lets help ourselves!

H1B transfer was regular transfer but my new employer used the same job code as specified in labor.
My attorney, then send the AC21 with new employer offer letter to uscis.

Do you really have to notify USCIS about you are changing employer as my lawyer told me its not required and this is one of the best lawyer, i did my H1 B trasfered before even my I 485 application may be thats why.
Would it be a problem for me if i transfered my H1 B even before i apply for I 485, as my lawyers explaination to that was as I 485 is for Future Employment and has nothing to do with the current employment.
Please do advice on this.

E-filed, Texas Service center and sent in supporting docs.
No emails or anything so far... Should i wait the whole 90 days before starting to make some noises?
I filed my EAD on the same date at Nebraska recieved that last week.
I just cannot understand why they need to do this filing and can't make EAD/AP a single doc and valid for two years.. Just plain frustrated. :mad:

but even with this big announcement tomorrow, we still only have 140,000 visas and keep in mind USCIS has just been averaging about 100,000 per year. (so about 40,000 get wasted every year)
All all this does is to push the bottleneck further down the pipeline.
the only benefit I see is that it helps with filing of AP and EAD which does not help someone like me with my 485 already pending

I spoke to a staff at Michael R. McNulty's office.
He comes to Albany on weekends only.
Rest of the time (5 days a week) he is in Washington.
We can meet staff members any time betwenn 9 to 5 (no appointment required).
Spoke to staff member at Schumer's office.
He is not available for a meeting.
Have set up a meeting (with staff) for 12th April 11am (nothing available for next 2 weeks).
I was actually just trying to find out if we could schedule an appointment with Schumer. Did not expect them to set up an appointment on the phone so fast.
We can change if this is not convenient.
I am not sure if this is gonna help, as it is 2 weeks away.

Ok, I've seen a lot of threads about go to the rally, actions items, I've reading a lot of guys saying dont ask for your receipt status, dont waste your time etc, etc.
What, are you 4 yrs. old man? If one works sincerely towards the cause, then he will realize the answer themselves, please try & think about that. Please help us work towards the goal. Nothing happens overnight, hope you are old & experienced enough to realize that or you must be an armchair quarterback. Please listen to "Time" by Pink Floyd & get your priorities straight.

gcseeker, u just spoke my mind, this was exactly what was going in my mind, when i decided not to take transit visa. i just cant believe, there is another soul who thinks just the way, i thought, look at my PD, came to US in 1999, still no GC after 12 years, planning to leave back to india for good, this year..oh well, life goes on..
vishwak, dont consider my seniority by number of posts. As is I am going through so much injustice in life, having spent 12 years in this country and still waiting for GC bcos of this stupid EB3 mess, and now the germans decide to harrass me by asking for transit visa ? Not that I dont want to follow rules, but after spending 12 years waiting for GC, I am glad that I broke atleast one rule, of travelling through frankfurt to and from india without the damned transit visa. Of course I was travelling alone, and my family was not travelling , and hence I could risk it out. This does in no way prevent anybody in this forum or the world from not getting transit visa and continue to be opressed by the germans. Folks, I have just told my experience, rest is upto you if you want to get the transit visa .

Almost all holders of the CA have a 3 year BCom. We have had, as far as we know, 100% approvals showing the CA = US Masters with the proper documentation and a professor's expert opinion letter. Also with AMIETE.

I am not expecting anyone to agree with me.. I dont depend on the company I work with.. I have seen almost all companies , they would keep you until they need you and then throw you away.. It is upto us to take smarter decisions.. I always felt there are 100's of opportunities for those believe in it.. We can't just say with GC life will change.. We stil live in the same world where things will keep changing. I would say after GC people will think of Citizenship and so on.. there is no end to this and life is always be like this (there will be no end to what we want in life). so when are we going to take our own decision?
I strongly feel that if I want to do something and If I feel it is good for me, then I will definetly do it.
just my thoughts!!!

I am one of the concurrent filing applicants. I filed my 140 and 485 on July 2. Can you give me a link for this memo ? Also if I invoke ac 21 do i need to file the g28 on 485 ? and what is g28 exactly for ?
In your case, to file AC-21 to change employers, you need to have approved I-140 and will have to wait for 180 days from the 485 receipt.
Just google search Yates memo pdf and you will find it. G-28 is a form that is filed to authorize a lawyer to represent you with USCIS.
