Many people might have lost job because of last year rally. Here I heard one of company in Chicago area fired all the illegal immigrants in last year immeditely after rally. So this kind of things may not be necessarily positive.
If Illiegals can protest and can have large rallies across the nation then whats the problem with the legals? Why can't we put our point forward through these kind of peaceful but strong measures.:confused:

I also had two LUD's after I submitted the AR-11 form. It took two days more after I submitted the AR-11 form

I also got LUD once I have submitted AR 11 but I only has LUD on my I765, I131 not on I485, But I did received confirmation from USCIS that my address got changed for pending App (i.e. 485)..Should I be worried...since I didnt get any LUD on 485....Please help

Hi, My mother lives in Haiti, i was not able to file a petition for her before the earthquake happened. Now with all of that going on, i need to know how to file and get her quicker to the us? Any response will be greatly appreciated, thank you

Thanks...I haven't worked with cap H1b before.
So it seems IMPOSSIBLE to change job from university to company since most companies won't help you apply H1B on April and wait 6 months (till Oct) to put you into work.

Here is my suggestion:
Apply for H-4 as this should be straight-forward and fly your wife the US in March. Prepare H-1 papers and get it ready to reach USCIS on April 1st.
If H-1 is acceped in lottery(assuming there is going to be one), then H-1 status starts from October 1st. For travel purpose your wife will have to get H-1 stamping (which can happen only after October 1st).
Hope this helps.

I think you should be okay. I have like 5 H1Bs ( with all the extensions). My first name has 2 words and my last name is two words. On each h1b its different. I never had any problems in stamping so far. One I stamped from India, once mexico, couple times from DC ( this service is closed now).

there is a little logic involved here. what if you changed the jobs between your AC21 and latest NOID. I think CIS just wants to make sure you are still hired by issuing a NOID even though they looked into AC21.
BTW I had the same situation and I had to respond to NOID with the same emp letter.

I have got done my medical exam required for adjust of status.
My doc gave me only a single sheet of page in a sealed envelop to send to the USCIS for the purpose.
My QUESTION is, is it only one page to be submitted in the sealed envelop, as the form doesnt have any of my passport details or reciept numbers for the form 140's/485
The doctor should have given u a sealed envelop, how do u know there is only 1 page? 4 pages of 693 are basically the same form, 4 copies. I think you should be ok, Doctors dont mess this us usually. You need to send this envelop with your papers. Passport number and receipt numbers are not needed, how would you have the file number if you havent filed 485/140 yet?
He has only given me page 3 of the attached file, is that sufficient?

I do have house here and I am 6th year of H1B, I did appeal on my I-140. If that gets denied I have no option than going back. In that case I have to sell my house or file bankruptcy foreclosure +++.
